I don't know of any Fitbit reference to Centauri, but

Sounds about right! When my new Inspire bluetooth connected as Centauri, I googled and didn't find much. There were a few other comments here stating the same, and looks like maybe some ties to employer fitness programs, or beta models. Mine was purchased through Fitbit's Amazon store. Still curious!

I received mine as a replacement after my old one couldn't be repaired.

I just got a replacement Inspire HR after mine went dead. Got the same message, and hope it's Fitbit.... Odd that my phone is asking if I want to allow Centauri to receive notifications. Hmmmmmm

Just went to setup my replacement Fitbit that I bought off eBay and got the same message. Never had that message with my Fitbit that I had bought from bestbuy.

I just did a little more research and it looks like “Centauri” is actually the charger type. 🤷:female_sign: Idk why it would need to send notifications… they sell them on walmart.com.
it might just be the type of charger they sell with the fitbit from certain stores. Bought mine on Amazon and same message.
