What is the best way to record a Barre class given that it is not auto-recognized with SmartTrack?

I understand Barre is not SmartTracked currently with Inspire HR, but it's an hour-long activity I do daily.

I have set up "Workout" and "Pilates" as Activity shortcuts. My question is: do I need to manually start/stop my Barre exercise or will it be recognized as a "Workout" or "Pilates"? Generally confused whether or not it's going to take manual action before I start or if it will be auto-recognized.

Hello @LizzieP1 and welcome to the Help forums.  You need to start/stop the exercise from the device itself using the Exercise app.  It's a bit of a toss up between Workout or Pilates for your Barre workout.  Fitbit uses heart rate based algorithms to calculate calorie burn.  But some users, including me, think that the Workout choice over estimates calorie burn.  I think you should try both and see if one option gives you a more appropriate calorie burn for your perceived exertion.

A Barre workout might not get automatically recognized at all.  The auto-recognition depends on high movement activity.  It depends on how active your workout is.
