Anticipated problem with Google migration - two adults with one Google account

I have received notification of the need to move to a Google account, but there is a problem to deal with first.

My wife has an inspire 2 with her email based Fitbit account and I have a Flex 2 with my email based account.

I have a Google account and all of our Android devices, both mine and my wife's devices, are associated with that account.  My wife is NOT computer literate, email and Facebook being about all she uses.  Given this she has no need or use for a Google account.

So there is no big problem migrating my Flex 2 account to Google, but how do I add my wife's Inspire 2 and how do we access our separate data?

I have been unhappy with what has been going on ever since Google bought Fitbit and proceeded to remove my ability to sync our Fitbits via dongle in my laptop.  This forced me to buy a junk phone simply to be able to keep my Flex 2 synced as I found out long ago that syncing it with my phone interfered with my Bluetooth headset.

I got even unhappier when they took down the website display of my Flex2 information.  Thankfully thee is now https://dashboard.exercise.quest/  to allow me to see it online.

If this cannot be sorted out I may have to simply discontinue using Fitbit entirely.

Hopefully someone can point out how I can deal with this latest issue.

Dave

@dhdurgee   To the best of my knowledge, your wife needs her own Google account with her own Gmail address in order to migrate.  She doesn't need to use Gmail as her everyday email, just for Fitbit related information.  The migration deadline is February 2026, so you still have time to sort this out.
