inspire 2 failing to display 4 digit code for me to set up device

new fitbit inspire 2. Charging but when prompt appears to type in 4 digit code from device screen,the code does not appear on the screen.Screen completely blank. Help.

Try taking the Inspire 2 off the charger when trying to put in the code.
