Is it possible to turn off the heart rate monitor on the device?

Scroll up to 'Settings'; there is heart rate on/off switch there.

On the Inspire HR, yes.  The Inspire does not have heart rate at all.

of course. i meant it's on the inspire HR, not on the app.  in other words -  i could turn the HR on and off without my phone.
