2 issues, basic sleep stages and home screen flashing on and off when measuring swim

I have 2 separate issues which have occurred in last 24 hours. 

Yesterday whilst swimming I noticed my versa had appeared to have stopped measuring my swim and the start up screen was flashing on and off. Only resolved when I returned home and put it on charge, though it had 50% left it had continued measuring swim however.

This morning noticed it had only measured basic sleep stages. 

Help please!
