According to the official Fitbit press release (here) the new enhanced heart rate tracking is only for the Versa 2.

Best AnswerWell It specifically mentions this as coming to the Versa 2 in the press release with no mention of any other watches, at least for the HR algorithm. If it were coming to all the smart watches I am sure it would mention that, like it does with the other features. That's not to say Fitbit won't include this on earlier watches later on down the line, but we don't know the reason why it's not included in the first place. Perhaps it needs the Versa 2's increased processing power (for the machine learning)?
