I strongly recommend Fitbit could implement abnormal heart rate alarm into the Fitbit wrist, just like apple watch, it could save lives and make more meaning than the funny apps.

I agree with some type of alert for a detected pulse change that lasts for a specific period of time, possibly vibrate to alert you, but have the clock flash on and off or show the heart rate and keep the face or clock on. I support this because I have a heart issue what happens to me is I will be walking and as an example my pulse is 130. Then I suddenly feel light headed and my pulse dropped to 88 beats, then 10 or 20 seconds some times longer it then goes back up above 100 assume I stopped walking. My other one is I'm doing nothing to be fair and pulse goes to 133. And stays there. I have a low output as I have had 2 heart attacks. So I have a defibrillator in my chest. I will get shocked if I have any type of arrhythmias that get out of control. I think the response would be this is not a medical device, i agree. put in bold letters in the instructions im fine with that. my blaze would show the example of a steady rate and record it then record the sudden drop. i have a versa and i set the cardio zone lower to keep the hr readings constant unless im wrong 5 seconds is the time fitbit uses to record a change. i dont drive as passing out is acceptable? which can happen however my experience is a rise in hr that keeps going up so i can pull over. to be fair i xant drive do to accidentally eye trauma, blind in one eye. But before that i did and the fitbit is capable of catching a change as long as it lasts for a specific period. so turn on the app and if a hr changes example 30 - 50 beats  in a 6 second period flash the screen with the flashlight app and vibrate . to stop false positives touch the screen then repeat  , allow user to adjust hr change within the time user sets. when Fitbit is taken off then the feature pauses. get the fit bit lawyers to come up with the disclaimer so they are not responsible. otherwise it wont happen as its not a medical device, however when i compair my icd check to fitbits hr its off as the icd is in ny chest, and hr is on the arm. i said off but not by much as in it shows the ups and down that fitbit shows so it is capable of detecting a change. i asked for something like this already a year ago maybe fibit could build an app ? please

I would like to see an abnormal heart rate monitoring watch based app also.  I have 2 friends that have their heart rate shoot up to abnormal levels and they are not even aware.  One has a diagnosed heart problem where he really needs a constant monitor and the Versa would be an ideal solution IF it had an app that would vibrate when the rate got above a setting that the user entered into the watch.

Are any 3rd party apps being generated for the Vera that would perform this function?

I would like to see a low pulse rate alarm, it would be a good safe driving alarm. When me pulse rate gets below 60 bpm I'm about to nod off.

Don't bother to ask Fitbit, The community has been asking for this for years and Fitbit just ignores us. While I love my Fitbit, I will be buying a wearable that can provide this function (and which is produced by a company that cares about its customers!)
