Accuracy - km

Hi there, I have noticed my versa watch is not as accurate to other fitbits doing the same exercise. I have logged my exercise as “run” and/ or “walk” on a few occasions, and I did this with a friend who has done the same thing. And on two occasions my Fitbit has been about 2 km less than two different friend’s logged exercise. We did the same speed, distance, time and logged it at the same time. Mine just appears to be less than there’s. Advice? Thank you!

We would need more information to understand situation.

Were you using connected-GPS or not?  These 2 have completely different ways of determining distance.

Did you start your exercise from your tracker or from your phone?

When you say you "logged" your exercise, do you mean you went in after the fact and manually entered the exercise?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I used my watch and clicked the “run” activity button to log my run and then clicked stop when I finished. The GPS was connected because both times I was using my phone to listen to music.

Hello,

I'd like to know what is the explanation to such case scenario ?

I have been dealing with this same thing except that I am 5KM ahead my friend with whom I ran side by side. She used an Adidas app on her phone that was on her the entire time. As for me I clicked "run" on me watch as I started and "end" when finished.

We'd usually have 1KM apart, but 5KM is really making me doubt. Furthermore, it says my pace was around 6.4  but we ran a bit slower that usually, so this is weird.
