My new versa lite does not have the option to choose swimming as an exercise.

Hello! I have just recently gotten my fitbit, and am loving it so far. Unfortunately, I am having the same problem as the other users, and am unable to pick swim as an option for my exercise app. Any help would be very appreciated!

Dose it already track it without the swimming option?

Yes but it’s not very accurate.

Swimming or Swim is not in the list of options on my Fitbit Versa Lite. All documentation I can find says it should be there, but it is not. Very frustrating.
If this was clearly stated in the specs when I was ordering my versa lite, I would have chosen the Versa instead. Not happy!

I know, it’s not good at tracking swimming. I’ve given up with Fitbit now. My home screen kept freezing several times a day which meant I had to keep restarting it which was then draining the battery. Tried to resolve with Fitbit support but got fed up with support, it was very hit & miss. Now moved to Samsung, looking forward to returning to swimming in a couple of weeks and then I’ll see what it’s like in the pool and counting lengths.

Swim option on Fitbit versa lite. I choose “workout” while swimming. After the fact, I go into settings of that workout and at the top you can “categorize” your exercise. Click the arrow and you can TYPE in “SWIM”. It will log as swimming but it doesn’t really give you accurate information. I bought this specifically for swimming. Very disappointed! I bought my wife a Fitbit 3 and swimming is an option. It’s just too small for me to read!

I can add several exercises but not swim. Swimming is the reason I bought this fitbit.

This forum is about fitbit lying to people about the versa lite. Advertising swimming and not following through. A year ago it was said it was being worked on to be fixed. It is not fixed.

I have a Fitbit lite and found swimming. You just have to categorize your workout and then type swim. It should be an option, but it is there!
Update:
Click on “categorize exercise” and type in swim. It will pop up and you can use it.
Just click categorize exercise and type swim. It works. Not the best but it works.
There is a way to get swim on the Versace lite. Click categorize exercise and type swim. It pops up. I do it everyday.

All I want is the choice of swim in my list of exercises. Is that too much to ask?
Each time I go for a swim, I have to swap to my versa which has this option.
