i imagine there are threads about this subject.
1:why is the barcode reader function advertised and included in uk devices but doesn't work..
2:If this does not work why have Fitbit given the option to select a uk food database.
3:the wallet function only uses santander and a couple of obscure banks.
4:The fitbit has fitbitpay on the back with all the menu sections for the function that i suspect would have minimal users.(none of my various debit or credit cards are supported.
5.As a customer in the uk i am charged a premium price for a device with missing functions and am having to pay a subscription for an alternative app that analyses barcodes etc.
6.In the instructions it clearly shows a workout video on the devices screen.this does not happen.AGAIN i have to pay a subscription for another app from fit bit to get more than a couple of workouts.
7:the device is advertised as compatible with Android and IOS ,yet my android phone is unsupported..Previous forum posts were given a sorry it doesn't work...i alters a few power management /bluetooth options and it does work..So again lazy and wrongly advertised by fit bit.....
Given the cost of the device it is really poor....
Really trading standards should be informed as its not as advertised.I have seen the useless replies to the hundreds of owners from fit bit giving no reason or help or solution....

The wallet function needs to be setup individually with each bank. That banks that work are the banks that Fitbit is aware of and have responded to fit it's request, and include banks that reached out to Fitbit. If you have a bank in mind. Then please reach out to this bank and ask them to contact Fitbit.. For a list of banks. Click here. Currently 6 UK banks.
I really don't know about food, but food can be entered without using the barcode scanner.. Many users connect to MFP and enter food into MFP not Fitbit.
As for android phones, there is no hardware standard and Fitbit has a page with what phones have been tested. This warning may also be found on the Fitbit box.
As for the video. You may need to install Coach

i am referring to the most used UK banks.
Only Santander is on your list.Im sure if Fitbit wanted to support the UK properly it would make strides to become compatible with these banks. As for android compatibility as with a lot of buyers (i suspect) my device was purchased online. The advert only stated its features and that it was android/apple compatible. As an online buyer i would not have the opportunity to read the box..not Fitbits fault. As a side note I did get the watch working on an INCOMPATIBLE phone !!! which is laziness on Fitbits part.Only a few settings were changed regarding bluetooth and power management and it works flawlessly. The coach system is working now ,so at least thanks for that advice.I appreciate your promptness in answering. The issue with the barcode reader is a big letdown however.Yes you can manually enter foods on the dashboard but as the option to scan a uk food database is on the app it doesn't make sense that its useless.Recommending alternatives does not solve the issue of a function and setting that does not work.Fitbit should really sort out these issues with non American devices. We paid a lot of money( more with the trainer app subscription) and are being let down.

I'm simply pointing out that Fitbit will need to contact and individually setup each bank or each bank could contact Fitbit to get the ball rolling.
Both Garmin and Apple pay have lists of supporting banks since they also need to individually setup each bank
