After factory reset

My Versa Lite's clock was not keeping time and would only correct when I actively synced phone to device.

Checked forum and eventually did factory reset.

Watch now says "To start download Fitbit app". I uninstalled and reinstalled app. but no change, still same message.

Any suggestions please?

Mine is suddenly working!! It's not syncing or updating to the new version (too scared to do that in case the watch freezes up again).  So far, its not losing time.  Guess it might just be a "watch" if I cant get syncing.

Here's the solution for everyone:

Buy a new watch.  Out of frustration and trying everything under the sun to get this thing out of the loop if "you need to download the app to start", I had the opportunity to buy a new Samsung Watch Active 2 smart watch.  It was on special promotion at a huge discount.  I bought it.  It hasn't arrived yet....now the Fitbit has decided to turn on!!!!  Aargh!!!!!

To be fair, a day ago my Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime phone did spontaneously do a system update.  Guess that probably helped.  My new problem is what am I going to do with 2 smart watches?
