So, I have been advised about this before and have given it a good few days to see if my versa is syncing automatically to my Fitbit account via the app. however, after not opening my app for the past 24 hours I can see it's not syncing every so often as it says it should. My internet on my phone is good and I'm connected, I get notifications fine on my versa. Am i missing something as to why this all day sync doesn't work. Also if I want to see the weather I have to go on Fitbit app to sync it to my watch in order for it to update or show weather. surely that's not the point. any tips/help will be much appreciated
oh and I've restarted and shutdown already all the bells and whistles they tell you to do

Make sure you didn’t force close the app. It has to be running in the background.

Oh my. So do I have to keep the app open at all times? I usually close all my app (swipe upwards to close the app (iPhone user)) to save phone battery life. Is there any info you found on this?

I have evidence from this thread. Also, swiping up is actually bad for apps as detailed here.
Hope I helped!

Will Have a look at that thread. I read the article though. The only thing is if you’re not supposed to swipe up then you can just end up with a load of apps on standby which is annoying to me that wouldn’t sound like a clever design. Can’t lie I don’t know how much I’m on board with that article.
The main thing is I want to get my all day sync to actually all day sync.
I’ve tried with the app opened all day;which I think is silly, can someone from Fitbit tell me if this is what’s meant to happen for all day sync to work @MarcoGFitbit @AlessFitbit. Or @NellyG

No, just have the app running in the background and it will sync every five minutes or so.

My wife could not get her Fitbit to sync all day. Found out today that my wife's fitbit actually synced with my iPhone and not her's. In effect, my Phone had two Fitbits but since they were both named Versa, I couldn't determine that I had more than one paired with my iPhone. Had to turn off Bluetooth on my phone and move my fitbit far away and start the process of syncing all over again on her phone and it worked.

Same problem. Whats the point if I have to pull out my phone, sync with fit bit app, just to look at the weather on my versa? Does the 'Sync All Day' not work when the app is closed? Seems like it should run in the background.
HELP!

Fitbit took off the all day sync in the last update and my watch has worked right since. I'm very upset about this
