Ankle strap for versa

Is there an ankle strap for the versa? I am not allowed to wear anything on my wrists or hands at work (nursing) so rather than miss out on all the steps o do it would 've lovely to have perhaps an elasticated strap for my versa to wear on my ankle. I currently have the larger classic strap on at the moment but it irritates my legs.

Welcome to the forums!

Check Amazon they have extenders.

Just be aware that it will not be accurate on the ankle as far as Heart rate

Hope to see you around!

I just got the B-Great ankle strap on Amazon.  It is advertised as compatible with Versa.  The “watch” fits snugly in a pocket with a Velcro closure.  It is very adjustable with a 5-snap closure (I use 4 snaps).  It is very comfortable.  And it counts way more steps than wearing it on my wrist.

As regards heart rate accuracy when wearing Fitbit on your ankle, there is a  e posterior tibial pulse on the inside of your ankle.  I haven’t tested heart rate with the Versa with my ankle band yet, but hope it will work.

The only way I could get it to register pulse was by cutting the mesh a little bit to expose the sensors directly to the skin.  It worked well on the ankle with that "modification".

Is it comfy on the ankle? Psych nurse here, so...

I take the face off the strap and have cut a pocket into a little wrist sweat band, this goes onto the ankle very well, I just make sure the pulse point is against the inside of my leg roughly where you would put electrodes when doing an ecg. Pucks up steps, calories, exercise etc and hardly aware that it's there 🙂

It is easy to make it too tight. When I first got it I made it too tight
and it rubbed a small blister on my ankle. This was operator error. I
moved it to the other ankle and loosened it and it was fine.

I got this a couple of months ago and I love it! Get pulse better than wrist and seems to count steps better!

Newbie - I hit a wrong button, sorry!  I did not mean to report this... I wanted to ask a question.  Does your Versa fit with the band or do you need to remove the band and just put the pebble in?

Hello @Phyllis60 and a warm welcome.  I read the item details and it says you remove the band.

LZeeW,

Thank you very much! And for the warm welcome.

I have been going through Amazon and the reviews making myself crazy.

I had a FB One forever and purchsed my Versa 2 yesterday. Exciting change
for me.

Happy to see this because I just purchased it. All fitness watches give me a rash on my wrist because of the heart rate sensor, so I haven't worn mine in months. I finally decided to look for alternatives and found this ankle band on Amazon, so I'm looking forward to trying it. I probably won't be using the heart rate monitor since I don't want it in contact with my skin, but I'm happy to hear it's been useful for people for counting steps.
