I got my Versa 2 back at the end of March 2020 to use to keep track of my bike trips. At first i got it to connect to GPS but then that stopped. When it did connect, many time it would disconnect before my ride was over. Now it just says “connecting” but never connect. Searching the community, this has been a problem for over 2 years with the Versa. It doesn’t appear that Fitbit has any intentions of fixing the problem. I have searched the forum and called support and tried all of their suggestions but no fix yet.
Has anyone been able to come up with a fix? My iPhone SE connects to GPS with no problem. So I downloaded a free app to do what my $200 Versa 2 advertises that it can do, but just doesn’t.. This doesn’t seem right that it is advertised to have a certain feature and you pay good money for it but it just doesn’t do what they say it will.
So when I go for a bike ride, my $200 Versa 2 keeps track of my active minutes and my heart rate and my free app gives me a map, my miles, average speed, max speed, elevation up, elevation down, calories burned and average pace. There is something wrong with this picture. If there is no fix, I would like to dump this expensive piece of junk, but I don’t have the money to buy something else.
