Anyone else having difficulty switching bands?

I have the SE version. I have no problem getting the woven band off and on. I get one of the silicone sides on no problem. The other side? The pin keeps popping out. (Yes, it’s angled, pin pressed down, I’m aware of the ridges...) I’m about to give up. Bands shouldn’t be this difficult to switch out.

Anyone else experiencing issues it is it just me? I’m wondering if it’s my Versa. Especially since I’m only having difficulty on one side. (Always the same. )

In addition to being careful to insert the band at the correct angle, I've found that a tool like this helps:

https://www.amazon.com/Spring-Extra-Watch-Removal-Repair/dp/B016A8I8HC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=153766...

Interestingly enough, it seems that the plastic/ rubber bands are easier when it's cooler. Maybe the tolerance is so tight and they expand just that tiny bit when it's warm so they don't fit as easy?

Got the tool included with a cloth band order from Amazon. Broke off the straight pin end and the other with the fork now slides off. Worked from 2:15pm until now 11:40pm with a two hour break to go play pickle ball. So frustrating, I had to take a professional cuticle clipper and snip off pieces of the rubber band and the hard plastic to make sure the pegs inserted into the holes.

The Blaze is the worst so when I bought the Versa for my husband I bought that too. But my husband hasn't had any problems whatsoever removing his bands & replacing them at all!Screenshot_20180923-112923.jpg

Oh, it's definitely a fitbit problem. I have very little difficulty getting the third party bands in. It's getting the original band back in that I find impossible.

Just this past week I changed my Versa band for the first time since I got it.  Watched a few Youtube videos and then went ahead.  It worked fairly well except for a damaged thumbnail.  I think the most important thing is to put the band in at a 45 degree angle and make sure the grooves in the band are inserted into the slot in the Versa before trying to attach it.  I think I can add two new pieces of information here.  When I removed the band that came with the watch, which I had used for several months, there was a good deal of gunk near the holes and in the grooves.  So I cleaned that out.  Also, on the replacement band (fitbit product) one of the springs was not so springy.  So it was hard to position it, and I think that's where I damaged my nail.  It is a finicky and fussy process, but it does work.

Basic (disintegrated), Ultra, One, Surge (returned), Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge 2, iPhone 7 Plus, Macbook Pro, iPad Pro.

First of all this is the worst design that Fitbit has come up with.  The buckle side came off when removing the watch from my wrist, and has been a pain in the *ss to re-install.  It takes 2 people, one to hold the band at the correct handle and the 2nd person to move the pin with a small flat bladed screw driver.  It took 2 tries, but finally worked.

I am having the same issue

I had to actually trim the plastic band with a knife to work the pin and make it fit. It’s only on the one side that’s so difficult. I swear I think it’s a defect.

My 3rd party silicone bands from Amazon,  go on much easier than Fitbit Black silicone. Purple woven, easier.  I use tweezers to help me with the pin on the holes side band. Buckle side goes on easier.

I agree on extra pins.

I bought the bands on Amazon by Wepro. They are very easy to change. I know
I have to put the black Fitbit band back on.
