I'm currently on a Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android version 8.0.0. I REALLY want to love this thing, but $200.00 for something that kinda-sorta works is very frustrating. I'm in court a lot for my job, so I like being able to see if anyone is trying to get in touch with me without having to pull out my phone. The Fitbit is a little more discreet, which is the majority of the reason I purchased it. Unfortunately, It's only catching about 70% of the texts I get. I don't want to pull my phone out of my bag at the end of the day and see texts that I missed because my Versa didn't alert me to them. Again, some come through fine and others not so much. I only use one messaging app on my phone, and that is the one that's synched with my Fitbit. It's not an app issue because I'm getting MOST of the notifications, but not all of them. Also - I have "all day sync" selected, but when I go into the Fitbit app on my phone to try and deal with the notifications issue, I see that it hasn't synced in 3 hours, etc. What is the point of having an "all day sync" option if I have to keep manually syncing it? I also have the "always connected" and "keep-alive widget" options selected to improve syncing and connectivity, but they're not helping with the syncing issue or the notification issue I'm having. And yes, I've made sure I'm not on "do not disturb" mode, I've disconnected from Bluetooth and reconnected, I've reset the Fitbit, I've reset my phone, I've made sure all the notification options on both my phone and the Fitbit app are selected. I've gone through EVERY option on the troubleshooting page, but am still having an issue. If anyone has figured out something that's not listed in the FAQs section, I'd be grateful if you shared it with me. 🙂 Thanks in advance!

Hi KrissyFace. You don't mention how far from your phone you are when in court. Bear in mind, you must be no more than 30 feet from your phone to receive notifications. This is standard with any Bluetooth device.

You're right. I should have mentioned it. My phone is always right next to me. Either on my desk, in my pocket, or in my bag at my feet. I know there's a range to Bluetooth, but there's no way I'm out of range when I'm having the intermittent notification issues.

I have the same problem. I have to mess with settings and notifications every day to get them to come through and then it is spotty. I have the same issue with just syncing - I can tap 'sync now' a number of times but my watch and phone seem to sync randomly and then often with a Bluetooth restart message. I'm wondering if the Versa just has Bluetooth problems and can it be fixed with a software and/or firmware fix?

Mine work for a day or two or mostly work some days. It varies. I may get phone calls and not a text. May get everything but calendar notifications. I have had to troubleshoot various items from the official Fitbit list several times to get them working again. Then, randomly, I will hear my phone chime with a text but the Versa doesn't vibrate/receive the notification. It's very frustrating. I have contacted support and they opened a ticket for me. Not sure what good it will do, but hopefully if enough people make them aware of the problem they will research to find the cause and get it fixed. We will see.

Thanks Diane! Hopefully by opening a ticket, they're working on a solution.
Maybe it just needs a software patch or update? Wishful thinking. 🙂 If you
get a solution from them, please let us know! Much appreciated!
Hold the left button down on your Versa until the Screen Wake and Notifications show up on the watch. Check to make sure they are on.

I just discovered today that if my phone is even just silenced, not in Do Not Disturb mode, but the ringer is off, my Fitbit won't receive notifications. If I put it on vibrate or have the ringer on, the notifications come through flawlessly.

I'm having similar issues with my versa - I am not receiving ANY notifications on my watch which is very frustrating. I've gone through all the recommended steps and it still doesn't send notifications. Fitbit......please check into this issue and find a solution. I, too, depend on my watch to notify me of calendar items, text messages, phone calls, etc. I'm hopeful this issue will be addressed quickly. I never experienced these issues with my blaze, so it's frustrating to experience this with my new device. I appreciate your help in advance.

Lol I agree! I am not sure why they won't come through when the phone is silenced. It sounds like a lot of people have issues with notifications, I hope Fitbit fixes the issue soon!

I've tried all the recommendations for notifications. The crazy thing is I was getting all notifications until Monday (4/30) and realized last night the notifications are no longer coming through. A friend at work got her versa on Wednesday of last week and her notifications stopped yesterday too. It isn't my phone....it's fitbit.
