Automatic Lap Settings feedback

On my Versa the Exercise Settings for Automatic Lap Settings are:

Lap Type: Miles, Kilometers, Minutes & Calories, so the distance options are Lap Every

0.4 km, 0.5 mi, 1.0 mi/km, 1.5 mi/km, 2.0 mi/km, 3.0 mi/km, 4.0 mi/km, 5.0 mi/km, & 8.0 km. Can someone explain the logic behind the different values for very short distances. I do the Run-Walk technique based on distance and it would be good to have a 0.2 mi/km setting.

In addition the minute time options are Lap Every 2 mins, 3 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins, 20 mins. For Run-Walk-Run it would be useful to have a 1 mins setting and ideally a 30 sec/0.5 min setting.

Can anyone explain why these additional settings are not available, if necessary in preference to the longest distance and duration ones? In addition why is it 0.4 km but 0.5 miles, since these are not remotely equal!
