Backlight issues and can't customize display stats?

Got my Versa and was really excited for an upgrade, as my Charge 2 screen is cracked.  The Versa had a backlight issue immediately out of the box and was flickering.  After about 20 minutes of use, I could no longer see the display as the backlight stopped working.  Very frustrating after spending way too much time updating it.  The place I got it from does not accept returns on opened electronics, but, they did let me exchange it.  It's been awhile since I have been disappointed that I could not just return a product, I just wanted to wash my hands of it and go back to my cracked Charge 2. So, here we go .. crossing my fingers I don't end up with a battery lemon ....  

Now on to my question.  Can you really not customize the order of the stats on the Versa display?  I want to have steps be first, so I can just lift my wrist and see where I am at.  I could not believe this was not possible, so I spend a very long time on this board, on my dashboard, and on the phone. The suggestion from Fitbit was, "switch the clock face."  Really?  I don't like the provided options from Fitbit, and the third party clock faces have a myriad of issues.  This has been a feature on previous Fitbits, why can I not do this on the Versa?  Or is it a ridiculously easy process that I am just missing?

@mcoop Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear about our initial screen issues but happy to hear that you got a replacement from the seller. Currently you can't change the arrangement on the clockface on your Versa but you can vote for the idea in our Feature suggestions board. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it. You can also use the Fitbit today option that will show all your stats by swiping the screen from the bottom. You may also want to check the Versa manual for more information.
