In the pictures, it looks like the Versa may use standard 22mm bands with the quick release pins. Can anyone confirm? If so, that's exciting!

looking at the pictures it looks like a standard "watch" clasp. the band it comes with is the standard sports watch type of material but they do have replacement bands..
Following prices are for the U.S:
Fitbit Versa | $199.95 |
Fitbit Versa Special Edition | $229.95 |
Classic bands | $29.95 |
Horween leather bands | $49.95 |
Stainless steel bands | $99.95 |
Metal mesh bands | $79.95 |
I have the leather one for my ionic and I love it. If I am lucky enough to get the versa, I will go leather again.

Hi @sherryberrykix I believe you are asking if used quick release pin, like many watches, making several different types of bands interchangeable. I personally have found even with quick release pins on a band of a standard size (22mm, 18mm) they don't often fit different watch makers, so I'm going to make an assumption that you will need to use a Fitbit band or aftermarket variety made for the Versa. I could be wrong, but we won't know for sure until the Versa ships and we can get our hands on them. Even so, I hope you are still excited by the watch. I think it's looks great and can hardly wait to see one in person.

Hello @sherryberrykix, I hope you're having a great day, it's great to see you. Thanks for your insight and help @emili and @MarciM, it's always nice to see you around.
@sherryberrykix, please note that the Fitbit Versa has a unique band attachment as our other Watch, the Ionic, which is why I would like to suggest you that if you would like to get additional bands you can check the accessories section of our Store. Keep in mind that accessories are also covered by our limited warranty.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

It's too bad none of the bands for the fitbit watches fit an XL wrist. So now it looks like I have to figure out a new system and go to a samsung smart watch or an apple smart watch. Very disappointed in the fitbit company for it's lack of support for larger people. There is exactly one type of device and color I can currently buy to replace my surge.

How large is large? There are bands on amazon that fit up to a 9 inch wrist from what I have seen. They also make extenders.

My wrist is almost 9.5 inches.
I have not seen any fit bit bands that are larger then their large which stops around 8" or so.

Yep. That’s big. Mine are twigs next to that. I didn’t do a comprehensive search. But I saw some up to 9.2 inches.
Extensions are an alternative. But might look strange. I have a silicone band with a bunch of holes in it. It prob wouldn’t be too difficult to glue a couple bands together to make a bigger one.
But it I understand your dilemma.

@JackVoss, we really appreciate our members's input and feedback and I would like to thank you for yours. At this moment I would like to suggest you to download and print the Sizing Tool to check if your the band is big enough for your wrist.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Did the versa band size get confirmed? (22mm?)

The bands themselves should be standard 22mm type (the Fitbit elastomer original is more like 23mm, so it fills the whole gap). But watch out for the pins! I have ordered 22mm quick-release pins and they are too short, so I expect 23 (never seen this size) or 24mm pins are needed. See photos - original band, original pin.

I have the Fitbit Versa special edition. I can take the original band off and on with no problem so that isn’t the issue. I have tried two different white versa bands and can not get either one to fit. It seems like it is just a touch too wide. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem at first. When trying to put the replacement band on I tried to put it in parallel to the watch, but have found that the only way to get it in is to put the band at a 90 degree angle. Even then you have to push the band in fairly hard to get both ends of the pin snapped in.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread- but in case anyone else is wondering. 😀 It's possible to use a standard 22mm or 23mm watch band, then take the pins out and use the quick release pins that came with the fitbit (which are usually stronger / thicker anyway). This works best with leather replacement bands - you might need to stretch the hole the pin goes in a bit or cut a slit for the 'release lever'

My wrist is 8.5 and the large bands fit me with at least 3 more slots it can go larger. I usually can't find Bracelets or watches and absolutely no problems with my large Charge 4 bands.
