Bands delivered with Fitbit devices are different from bought ones?

Hey there!

I was wondering if the bands you get with a tracker are different from the replacement ones you buy from fitbit. I have a rosegold/peach FitBit Versa and the bands were super soft from the beginning and I like them very much. I bought some black ones from fitbit but they’re way harder and more textured...

Hey @TiavT, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! As long as you are getting original Fitbit bands, you don't have to worry because the materials are exactly the same. Something that comes to my mind is that, maybe the warmth of the environment, turned your band a little bit softer.

Hope this helps, but if you have further questions, let me know!

Hi TiavT,

I have had the same experience as you.  I own ever color of the Classic Versa bands and my black one feels thicker and stiffer than the others.  I bought this when the Versa was first released and wondered if, perhaps, different material was used for the black bands back then.  I prefer the softer, more flexible bands.  They’re so nice!  I considered buying another black band, hoping the material has changed.  But I’m fine with my current black one and continue to use it, on occasion.  I love having a variety of bands to choose from.

@AP456 I’m glad I wasn’t just making things up! Thanks for sharing your experience, I might end up buying another color as I also like changing the colors up a little and use the black one to swim and work out ☺️
