Built-in GPS for Versa

Hi,

I was told by customer services to post my idea here. I know there are a lot of people who would really love to see the versa with built-in GPS instead of connected GPS. I use my charge 2 all the time but unfortunately with connected GPS it drains my battery and my phone has started experiencing battery problems.

I really love the design of the versa, I feel like the watches with built-in GPS are very manly so if this one were to have the option of built-in GPS I’d be sold! But...at the moment with connected GPS i really don’t see the point in upgrading my charge 2.

i know a lot of others feel the same as I do as I’ve seen so many comments about this on you’re Facebook page.

thanks,

emma

Hey @emmamariegriff, a warm welcome to the Community.

I think this would be a really great feature for the Versa. I recommend taking a look at the Built-in GPS for Versa request and see what our team has planned for this. If you would like to share more of your ideas with us, feel free to visit our feature suggestions.

Keep the stepping up! Smiley Wink

the ionic is the only one with GPS built-in. The Ionic is not feminine at all and huge. Would like very much to have a built-in GPS in the Versa. Never run with my cell but with my watch....yessss! Thanks

@CGuay   Built-in GPS is not planned for the Versa.  The Feature Suggestion is locked for comments, even though you can still vote for it.

Well, I have yet another failed ride with my so called "connected GPS".

I have had the watch almost a year now and this feature has NEVER worked well or consistently.
Android 8.0.0.0 always up to date as it can be. Sony Xperia X.

So take my advice and DON'T buy a connected GPS device from Fitbit if GPS tracking is important to you...And I have my doubts that an in-device GPS designed by Fitbit will be any better...

However, my half hour ride - going nowhere - was at least logged as "nice work"!
