Built in obsolescence

I have been a loyal Fitbit consumer for 6 years. It seems that the watches just plain stop performing after about 6 months. I stepped up and purchased a Versa Lite  - just out of warranty it stopped working. So, fitbit gave me a discount and I ordered a Versa. Received the new Versa in October 2020 and here it is July 1 and it has not been working for almost a month. I have spent more time on the phone with an advocate than I did with my divorce lawyer.  The watch doesn't keep time and won't sync!

Am I the only one that needs to buy a new watch every 6 -8 months?

Unfortunately Fitbits only solution is to allow me a discount on yet another new watch!!!

I can't afford to buy a new watch twice a year!

Any help would be appreciated - I have uninstalled the app, changed the clock face, restarted my phone and reset the watch!

@ysylkw If you bought it from Fitbit in October, it'd be under warranty?

Hi @ysylkw  the warranty period is for one year in the USA and two years in some European countries. The warranty period is from the time of the original purchase and not from the time of any replacement you received. A replacement only is covered for the remainder of the warranty time. You can read about it here - click to go there.  Android had some problems with syncing earlier this week. Just make sure you have the latest app and your phone is compatible, which is all you can do.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14
