This one looks okay but this REALLY needs to be a first party app

I found a workaround to get Exchange calendar events!

I downloaded an app called SyncCal (http://synccal.calengoo.com/), which can automatically sync my Exchange calendar events into the calendar of a Google Calendar account. The difference between SyncCal and other email sync apps is that SyncCal syncs to an actual Google Calendar account, whereas other apps sync to the Google Calendar app itself. The Fitbit third-party calendar apps can't pull Exchange information straight from the Google Calendar app.

Once my Exchange calendar was synced to the Google Calendar account, I linked the Fitbit calendar app (I am using "My Agenda") to the Google Calendar account.

Some limitations/considerations:
- On Android, SyncCal will delete all the entries of your Google Calendar account and replace them with your Exchange events (can't have events from both calendars synced into 1). So I had to create a new Google Calendar account just to use for syncing purposes. Depending on the calendar app you choose, this may mean you can't have both your Exchange and personal events showing in the same calendar app. I don't think this is a problem with the iOS version.

- On Android, SyncCal costs $2.49 if you want to be able to sync calendar changes automatically. Manual sync is free. I think the iOS version is cheaper.
- SyncCal automatic sync didn't work that well for me, so I set it to sync my calendars every 15 minutes which is fine.

I liked the idea of having Exchange events on my watch but in reality, it's not that great. All of the Fitbit calendar apps are slow and take 5-10 seconds to load calendar events after I open the app. Also, my Versa itself is not the best at syncing with my phone so it only syncs every 2-3 hours even though I have "all day sync" on. This means that I have to make sure my Versa actually synced to the phone or else my calendar won't be the most updated. On the "GAgenda" app I kept getting a message to make sure my Versa synched within the last 30 minutes before it would display any events (which is why I prefer "My Agenda" instead). With all this effort, it is much faster/easier just to look at the calendar on my phone since my phone has to be close to my watch in order to sync anyways.

I honestly can’t remember. I don’t know if you get at the Apple store, or if Fitbit gets you the link. It should be easy if you just Google the information.

Occasionally but not reliably, all of a sudden I started receiving reminders from my iPad calendar on my Fitbit. Also as unreliable, I was receiving text msgs. But now only occasionally started receiving emails. Nothing seems consistent.

MY SOLUTION

I totally understand the pain of not having a proper calendar app when switching from pebble. so I decided to make an agenda app on my own that allows looking at events 2 days a head from phone calendars (from all accounts - including exchange).

*The app requires a companion app running on the phone (currently only available on android)

*The companion app can be downloaded via the instruction on the app on the watch when downloaded

The agenda app is not publicly available on the fitbit store, the following are the link (must be open on the phone with fitbit app installed) :

Thanks for your efforts! I downloaded your app and the companion app, but I'm getting "Nope, there's no events" when I open the app on the Versa 😞

Only events for today and the next 2 days are shown to avoid a never ending list.

Can you try adding a dummy event for tomorrow, wait for a few minutes and open the app on versa? Once the app on the watch is open, it might take a few seconds to refresh view.

Thank you. I did what you suggested. We’ll see what happens. But now I have another problem. my app won’t find my Fitbit it keeps searching. Why they hid Syncing in app, I’ll never know. What does Pull and Release to sync mean?

I agree. I had the Samsung Gear Fit and it had way more features than this versa. I never use 3rd party apps because it is a security and resource risk. Fitbit should add a today calendar view AND a sleep view. I also don't appreciate Starbucks being on my versa. Why push these on us by preloading it? I can't even figure out how to remove it. Starbucks coffee is the worst coffee for your health. They use chemicals to triple roast their coffee that's known to cause cancer. Research it.

Hi,

Am new to this Forum as I just got a FitBit Versa.  I set it up using my Samsung Galaxy running Android 8.0, with the FitBit app; have made a few tweaks, adding and deleting a few apps.

One of the key apps I was a way for my FitBit Versa to display my calendar from my phone.  The phone's calendar (it uses the Samsung Calendar App) is sync'd with my Google Calendar, which, in turn, is sync'd with my Outlook calendar (using gSyncIt); the phone and Outlook work well, but had hoped that there was a standard FitBit app that would sync with my Google Calendar -- I have not been able to find a standard FitBit app that does that.

For now, I am using Upcoming app.

Am I missing something?

RSnic (love that) you’re light years ahead of me. Lol
I did find at least one clock face option that came with a calendar. It’s
just for date reference. Unfortunately I can’t temember which clock it
was... I do know it wasn’t any of the Fitbit choices. It was prob stat
heavy choice knowing me.

@RSnic try the app that kymeng posted (few post up). it is not available in the fitbit app store.

Works for me, but I need to remember to sync every few days.

There's no default calender app for fitbit at the moment.

Charge 3 have a calendar app coming soon.

let's hope it will be available for versa.

Thanks for the My Agenda idea. My Google Calendar wasn’t working before with my Versa and now everything is working great with My Agenda.

I hope they can develop this app within 12 days - that's my return policy deadline. Without a calendar app, this smart watch is virtually useless.
