Calorie count issue on versa 2

Hi I’ve just bought a second hand versa 2 I’ve downloaded the app on my iPhone and connected it all up. I noticed that it is showing 957 calories burnt straight away, the steps tracker was at 0. I was wondering how I reset it. Also does the steps and calories reset themselves on the night for the next day? Thanks

Daily stats reset at midnight.

The 957 calories would be your BMR calorie burn since  midnight.  Fitbit includes your BMR (basal Metabolic Rate) calorie burn.  These are calories you are always burning just to stay alive.  Fitbit credits them even when you are not wearing the tracker, and fills sin history with them.
