Hi,

Can anybody help? Trying to get my head around setting eating plan. I've set a food plan and am eating within my calorie allow but then when I click on my food for day, it says I'm approx 200 cals over budget - confused? Do I need to eat under the cals I've been allocated for day?

@Xenia83 It would help to understand the over/under tile. What Fitbit does is it takes your daily calorie deficit that you set and does a linear fit for the day. The day starts and ends at midnight. At midnight it looks for a deficit of 0, at noon it looks for a deficit of half what you set and then the full deficit at midnight. It calculates the over/under AT THE TIME YOU CHECK IT. However, since your intake and expenditure is not linear you will see some swings in the number. Checking before and after you log a meal or before and after you exercise will make a big difference in the numbers.  Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for helping me out. I'll check before and after I eat
and/or do exercise as you suggest. Thanks again.
