Can't Customize Watch Faces

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm having problems with any watch face that offers customization. The one I'm particularly fond of is called Retro Time by Johnathan George, but Maker by Microbyte would not work either. The clock itself installs fine, but will not change at all when I choose any customization, like the wallpaper color or font. I've restarted it multiple times, checked that it's updated, closed and reopened the app, turned the phone off and on, wifi off and on, everything I can think of, but no setting in a clock will take effect. How can I fix this?

Hi @SunsetRunner , installing a new CF is not that difficult if you follow the rules. If you want to install the Retro Time, choose it and type select and it will be installed. After the installation, you should wait for a few secs to see the "Settings" (if possible) and  "Permissions". Press the last one at first and make sure they are all enabled. After that press "Settings" and customize the CF to your own liking. After that, press a few times the back arrow on top of the screen, untill you're back on My Clock Screen and press the newly installed CF and you will see on top of the screen on the right side "Ready", press that and all customizations are applied. But, make sure that during this procedure your Versa is within the BT range of your phone and connected, otherwise it will indeed not work.

Rachrar, if you are using a computer, the customizations won't take.  I have the same problem and have notified the Fitbit team of the bug.  If you have a proper phone, the customizations will work.

@SunsetRunner I did that multiple times, but it wouldn't take.

@SunsetRunner I was doing it right from my phone, so I don't know anything about modifying from the computer.

Then again, though, it suddenly started working today. It only worked when I have the watch right there, screen on while I changed things. So. No idea what the difference was, but it works now.

Hi @SunsetRunner , as I mentioned your Versa has to be within the BT range of your Phone to take effect and there should also be no other BT enabled devices within the vicinity of your phone and Versa. If you perform customizations outside the BT range, the newly installed CF will stay on it's default display. Regards kuzibri.
