Can't change settings

After 3 hours I am still trying to set my Versa up.  The first problem is my dashboard is showing 3 years ago when I had a different fit bit.  I have managed to change to the Versa, is has synced, but I can't change the clock face or anything else.  How do I change these items?  It says to do it on my app but when I click settings nothing happens.

If using phone app, have you checked if there is a later version of app available?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I rebooted the app as that's what it told me to do, but it's still coming
up now as not connected and I can't change anything.
