Can't unlock my Versa 2 with my phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello everyone,

My versa 2 had something like a ghost touch effect and then often entered the wrong unlock code. Now my versa 2 always says unlock with smartphone. But that did not work. I then read something on the Internet about deleting the watch in die app... Unfortunately, that didn't help either. And now, of course, I can no longer connect it to my cell phone because I can't do anything on the watch until I've unlocked it with my cell phone... So now I have a watch that I can't do anything with except read the time. Is there any way to get out of this vicious circle?

Thank you and best regards,

Marius

Hi there, @Mrsausage1984. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is unresponsive for the time being. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Since your Versa 2 is no longer paired to your phone's Bluetooth, the only way we can bring your Versa 2 back is by performing a factory reset. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

With the above being said, please sync your Versa 2 and then, proceed with the steps below in the order listed:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

At this point you can set up the watch again. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
