Changing country without changing language

I've recently moved to Germany and changed my country accordingly. Now my Fitbit is in German. I want it to stay in English but need the country to be Germany. In this global age Fitbit is the only company I've encountered so far that's set up this way. My Samsung phone, MacBook, Facebook, Instagram etc all allow me to update region but keep language as English. Heck, even German Amazon lets me set my language as English. Surely this is something that can be fixed? It's 2020, people live all over the world and speak different languages.

I have the exact same issue - I'm in Austria but want all my devices in English, but my new Charge 5 won't let me. Country set to Austria? Better use German then...why am I forced to do it this way? It's the only device I own and the only company I know that does this. Please change it! If anybody from Fitbit ever sees this...

Hello @SunsetRunner , thank you very much for your reply! I logged into my fitbit account on the homepage, and there, under settings, was the only time I found a separate Country and Language option. I didn't check there because I assumed the profile settings in the app would be the same.

On the phone app, if I go to my profile settings, that option doesn't seem to exist there for some reason. But now my Charge 5 is in English, so thank you very much!

@Dewdropdeb tagging you just in case you still have the same issue even though your post is 2 years old, hope you don't mind:)

Woohoo @Oliver1985! 😃 I’m happy to see your Charge 5 is final in English and I was able to help. Hopefully this will help @Dewdropdeb as well. Enjoy your evening and as always Happy Stepping!
