When getting help on chat, you should be able to go to where they are telling you to go and still be able to get back to the chat. My experience was that as soon as i left the chat screen it closed it and when the suggestion didn't work i had to start all over again with a different person.

Here is how I get around that issue, @Denisenc, with Fitbit and with other companies that offer chat assistance. I use multiple devices. For example, if I need answers on steps to follow on my smart phone, I’ll chat on my iPad or PC. You are right - It is better to be able to follow instructions while in chat.
