Computer asks to insert Dongle to setup Versa

I am trying to set up my Versa on my laptop through the Fitbit app so I can transfer music but the sync process is asking me to insert the dongle, which didn't come with the watch. What can I do?

Hi @bat48

Is your computer compatible? Dongles are available at the Fitbit Store.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, my computer is ok but I guess I will just have to buy a dongle. My previous Fitbit’s came with them but I gave them away each time I upgraded 🥴

Hi @bat48. It's great to have you on board! @Odyssey13, thanks for helping our new friend.@bat48, thanks for letting me know that you have a Fitbit Versa. Let me clarify that the Dongle is to sync a device to your computer when it doesn't have Bluetooth connection. However, the process to transfer music is being done via WiFi. I'd recommend to turn off and on the Bluetooth in your computer. Make sure to turn off other Bluetooth connections, such as phones or tablets during the process. Open the Fitbit app and try the setup process one more time.

Once the setup process is done, please try transfering your music to your Versa making sure it's plugged during the whole process, as well place it next to your phone and router. If the process isn't going forward, let me know the operative system running on your computer. Also, confirm if you're transferring your playlists from Windows Media or iTunes.

Keep me posted! Woman Happy
