My Versa 2 is showing way more steps than it should, it must be tracking my arm movements.  Is there any thing I can do to make my steps more accurate?

Hi @Girly62 , the steps are monitored by moving your arms in  a fore- and backwards direction, just as you do when you're walking. Sometimes the Versa is so sensitive that it sees only arm movements alone as steps whilst not moving, e.g. walking, at all. Unfortunately you do not have any influence on that, except try to avoid certain movements which could be interpreted as steps.During which actions you do/perform is the Versa in your idea counting these "false" steps? Hello @Girly62 and a warm welcome.  There is one thing you can try if this situation applies to you.  If you wear your Versa 2 on you non-dominant wrist, change the setting in the app to Dominant.  The Dominant/Non-dominant setting in the app changes the sensitivity of your Versa 2 (and all other wrist trackers).  It does reduce, but won't eliminate over counting.

Half of my brothers and sisters are left handed and half are right handed.  I wound up with mixed dominance.  So I have changed the setting back and forth to see what happens.  The difference can be as much as 2000 steps per day.  So the change might help you if your steps are off in this range.

That said, there are some arm movements that will be picked up as steps for everyone.  And there are those of us whose jobs and daily activities just plain limit accuracy.

Hi @LZeeW , I accidently found out that the Versa is counting "Fake" steps while you're sitting in your chair. I like to listen to music often and sometimes I make "drumming" movements with my arms when enjoying the music. After that I found out that the Versa sees that as steps, although I was sitting in my chair. Regards kuzibri
