Just received my Versa yesterday. Everything seemed great and LOVED it- until this morning when I woke up with 17,750 step count? No fan near my Fitbit or alarm or other electrical devices?? Not very happy 😞 Really didn’t want the buy an Apple Watch , but might be the next option if Versa has issues with the step count being this off 😞
Best AnswerMy versa had 28,000 steps on it this morning and it was sitting on my nightstand all night charging.. I only had 9800 when I took it off last night and placed it on the charger. Super aggravating due to it being synced to my Weight watcher app and its adding steps I really didn't take.. how can I fix this, it just started this and I bought it the day it was released
Any luck resolving this? I woke up with 34,000 steps this morning. Annoying!
Best AnswerOnly resolution is to return the Versa and ask for refund. I am back on my blaze after trying 5 Versa’s.
Best Answer@Annemarieze @ksam550 The newest firmware update addressed this issue. It is slowly being rolled out to users. If you do not wish to wait and would like to upgrade now, you will need to perform a factory reset of your Versa. Once wiped, Versa will download the latest firmware (.19) automatically. Of course you will have to set up your versa again.

Best AnswerI have had an issue with my fitbit versa counting steps oddly as well as saying I have burned hundreds of calories when I really haven't left my bed. This is getting really frustrating because I am trying to use my fitbit for working out and it's not accurate. Any suggestions? Do I need to factory reset it?
Factory Reset doesn’t work, I returned my Versa to Fitbit and came back to my older Blaze that works perfectly.
Best AnswerLeaving the watch in another room may help with Phantom footsteps but then you can't use it to track sleep If paying over $200 for a watch that says it can do all of these things, it SHOULD be able to do all these things without screwing up.
The Ionic won't help you with this. I came here looking for a solution myself as I woke up this morning to find that I apparently had taken nearly 7,000 steps as I slept. I was wearing my watch at the time, and sleep record has me in light sleep during that period. Besides, even had I been awake and running during that time I highly doubt I would have run over three miles at a 4:47 pace!

Best AnswerNo fan phone was on the night stand. Fitbit was on my wrist. I thought it might be the phone that's counting steps??
