Counting to many steps

I have just bought the new Fitbit Versa light yesterday but it seems to be counting to many steps it’s really annoying as this is the main reason I wanted one! I only sit there and move my arms and it counts loads of steps!! Is there a reason? How can this stop doing this please help!

I am thinking moving your arms
means like aerobic exercise...

My friend has one and hers doesn’t do it? She’s a barmaid aswell and her arm is always moving pulling pints but still don’t count that?

I bought mine yesterday apparently I did 405 steps in my sleep. Not impressed with it I bought it purely for step count but it's very inaccurate

It’s very annoying you pay all that money you expect it to be accurate! I expect some steps to be out but not in the hundreds/thousands 😡
