Counts two or three steps for every step I take. Is there a remedy for this problem?

Hi, restart your Versa 4-6 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. In most cases these kind of problems are solved with this procedure.

Find a place, probably outside, where you can walk without sharp turns for at least 100 steps, preferably more.  Stand still a few seconds at start and check your tracker step count.  Count your steps (each footfall is one step) as you walk at least 100 steps.   Then stop and wait a few seconds; then check tracker again to see how many steps it says you took.

This will verify if it is really double or triple counting your steps, or if the extra step count is from some other movements.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I tried resetting the Versa 6 times in a row and it is still counting by 2 and 3 steps.
Any other suggestions?
