Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation as mine-
I just recently upgraded from an Alta to a Versa, and I have been wearing the Versa since Sunday night (for about 2 days). I haven’t left the house with it on yet, I haven’t tried the water resistance, and I have not hit it or bumped it or done anything to damage it. The Versa already has a crack in the top of the screen... I spoke with a member from the fitbit team and since screens are not covered within the warranty, they will not do anything. They also mentioned that this can impact the water resistance feature... I am beyond disappointed about this... One of the main reasons that I purchased this device was for the water resistance feature. It was a large purchase for me and I haven’t even really had a chance to try it, and its already damaged...
Any suggestions?

I've seen a few comments about a cracked screen on here. I believe Fitbit treats this the same as smart phones. The screen is not covered under warrenty.
I know when I'm at work and think I'm going to bump the screen doing a task, I take it off.

Its very disappointing. Like I said, I hadn’t even bumped it, its just one single crack at the top. Im not sure what to do at this point. It seems like it was just a big waste of money. As much as I love fitbits, I will not recommend this to anyone.

@Tanishafinlay Depending where you bought it from, they might take a return/ exchange. If you do the latter - I recommend getting a glass screen protector.

Yes the Versa screen is fragile. I would not wear one without a glass screen protector on it or heavy duty case like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7W9DTD/ref=sspa_dk_detail_6?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07D7W9DTD&pd_rd_wg=2D6W0&pd...

Thank you for the link. Do you think that I would be able to submerge in water with this protective case?

I bought it at Staples and they will not return unfortunately. Thanks for the advice. Im hoping that I can put a protective case on it that will make it water proof.

I about cried last night when the versa I've had for only one week slipped out of my hand and cracked the bottom right corner after dropping only about four feet, Fitbit never has and never will cover anything that is your fault. I'm just not going to get it wet until I can afford another one but what a bummer. I'd much rather pay for a new screen, or even screen protectors..
