I just purchased a Versa 2 this morning after Charge 3 "white-screened" after 15 months.
Versa 2 took the latest firmware (70.7.14) in what I consider record time - less than 15 minutes.
WiFi and Bluetooth enabled during initial setup.
Was not able to enable All-Day Sync, nor view Notification settings - getting "Bluetooth Pairing Required" message. Selecting "Set Up" just gets the "spinning circle" for about 30 seconds on both of the labels regardless of which I select.
I have verified that text messages are not being forwarded to my device like they are on my Charge 3.
I have "forgotten" the device in my iOS bluetooth settings and have even performed a restart of my phone. Each time I restart the FitBit app, the phone settings show the device connected although I still get the pairing message.
The device is surely connected because I can walk with my FitBit app up and see the step counter increment with each step I take.
And before anyone recommends uninstalling the app and reinstalling, I just took a break from typing and did just that - nada. Same ol', same ol'.
And I verified the notification settings in iOS - luckily I kept the screen snapshots once I got notifications  working for my Charge 3.
Not a show-stopper, just irritating. I can live without the all-day sync as I rarely look at the web dashboard and can force a sync if I want - - - but I really wish I could get notifications to work.
Took another break to watch the Today screen. My calorie burn is also updating while just setting at my desk. Another indicator that bluetooth connectivity is in place.
And the app is apparently performing an all day sync anyway - the web dashboard updated just fine after I waited over 20 minutes to make sure one way or the other. I suspect it may be possible that it is syncing to the FitBit servers over WiFi.
So the app is not being truthful and I am still not getting notifications.
And I am a little tired of the "need to pair" messages - and they are not isolated to the device setup screen. They randomly show up on the Today screen.
And now the app apparently doesn't think I have a heart rate sensor as the heart rate and sleep tiles are missing from the Today screen - and yes I went to the Discover screen and attempted to add them. Whoops, they came back for a few minutes and then left the building again for a few minutes before coming back again.
Ideas, people? Remember, I've rebooted, reinstalled and even knocked on wood while crossing my fingers - No Joy.

More observations -
The is no Information Icon next to Versa 2 in the phone's bluetooth settings screen.
The Versa 2 entry disappears if I close the FitBit app.
This is quite different from my experiences with my Charge 3 and Alta HR before it.
As well as four other devices paired but not turned on at the current time - they all have an Information Icon.
I may need to bring this up on the iOS board.

I have exactly the same problems. It says that my notificationservice is not working and that i have to reboot my phone. Well, I've rebooted my phone 10 times but it doesn't work. I use an Android phone, a OnePlus.
I disconnected Bluetooth, i closed the app, i i reboed my Versa, i disconnected my Versa to the app and connected it again etc etc.
Also, it only synchronize when i open the app, not automatically and constantly.
Nothing works. help?
