I decided to download a clock face for a free trial, and after the free trial(an hour maybe), my screen is locked, waiting for me to buy it.  How do I go back to faces that came pre-installed instead?

I tried a hard reset, but it just goes back to a screen inviting me to restart the free trial for the new clock face I don't want.

On your trackers Settings screen in the App, click on Clocks, make a selection and install it.
