The past 2 nights I only received basic sleep stats. My HR graph is complete. I wear a wrist band over my watch to stop it from moving. Initially when I bought the versa I had the same problem with no real reason. I started wearing the wrist band and everything was fine from then on. Now that doesn't seem to be working. The sleep insights is a big reason I upgraded and nothing annoys me more than something just not working for no reason when it's been fine for week. My versa will be a month old this week. Though that does seem to be when problems start huh?

Let's go to the detail page of a few of these sleep records @hoofbeats95
Under the chart Fitbit should have a note as to why stages are not being seen. Once we know the reason we can help out .
In the mean time I'll point to the Sleep FAQi

@Rich_Laue every time it says it couldn't get a consistent HR. Which isn't true cause my graph is complete. This is why I started wearing a wrist band over the Versa. To keep it centered and keep it still. That magically seemed to work until this weekend. I've never seen any other reason when I go to the details. I've read all the other reasons and none of those apply.

I did. Just like I did the first time. They weren't any help the first time. We'll see this time. I don't understand why it suddenly changed.

Hi! Just curious - were you ever able to resolve this issue? I just bought my Charge 3 a week ago and am having exactly the same problem. I can see my heart rate readings for the night, but no sleep stages, only basic sleep patterns.

My VERSA never tracks my sleep right I made sure its tight and clean and it will say I am asleep during the day when I am awake and it will say I slept like 2 hours at night. There definitely is a firmware/software issue on the VERSA that needs a major patch/fix.

@SunsetRunner may I ask what the excuse Fitbit tells you for not seeing sleep stages? Tap on the affected Sleep, under the simple graph Fitbit will have something to say about only seeing simple sleep.

It said it was not able to get a consistent heart rate reading while I slept. I chatted with a Fitbit agent the other day, and I was instructed to switch off the heart rate sensor on my device, sync the Fitbit app on my phone, switch the heart rate sensor on my device back on, and then sync the Fitbit app on my phone again. I also began wearing my device three finger widths above my wrist bone when going to sleep (I used to only wear it at one or two above my wrist bone), and so far, I have been able to get the sleep stages for the last three nights. I am not sure if it was the agent's trick that did it or my change to the positioning of my tracker, but I'm just glad it's working!

Welcome on board @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you around here! I'm very glad to hear that your Fitbit started tracking your sleep stages after getting in touch with our Support Team. Thanks for sharing the outcome!
Hello there @fibercarbon! As you know, sleep stages are based on heart rate data, so make sure that you're getting a solid heart rate reading , since sleep stages requires consistent HR. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight. Also, double check that your watch is charged up.
Additionally, I'd recommend checking the following that could be preventing you from receiving sleep stages:
For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.
In addition, I think it's great that you update the Fitbit app to the latest version (iOS and Android). I always recommend keeping both the tracker and the Fitbit app up to date with the latest versions.
Thanks for your help and input @Rich_Laue!

Hey!
I've got a different problem. When I wake up, I get detailed sleep results and everything works totally fine. During the day, those results get replaced by basic results though. That's pretty annoying.
Is this a known issue? I'm using the Charge 2.
