Hello,

I run with a friend, we both wear a Fitbit versa, and we both start the tracker at the same time, but we end up with slightly different time/pace.

could anyone explain this?

Thanks

If you are getting different times, you must not both be starting and stopping at same time.

Is distance the same?

Hi Johnny,

thanks for getting back to me. We started at the exact same time today, as we had noted some differences in our times for the past few weeks. We ran together the whole time, so same distance. Possible that we finished at slightly different times, but that would only affect the timing of the last km, right?

Any other suggestions of why our times wouldn’t match?

I know you ran the same distance, but did your 2 trackers record it as the same distance?

The issue seems to be the distance. My Fitbit is about 300m out over a 10k. I tried using 2 trackers myself and my Fitbit gives me a different distance compared to my MapMyRun app also.
the issue seems to be with my Fitbit since I can run a route that I have tracked before and I get a different distance compared to previous run.

Any ideas what I can do here?

in guessing it’s not an issue with gps on my phone since my other running app would use that too.

I also have an issue where I don’t get a map for some runs, even though I start tracking on the watch rather than waiting for auto-track to pick it up
