Got a Versa today. It won't update. My computer does not have Bluetooth but this new fancy Versa does have a usb plug to for the computer. I plugged it in but it still says I need to buy more (dongle) and Bluetooth it rather than just doing with the base unit plugged into the laptop.
I am very frustrated here. Is it poor planning by Fitbit or is it great planning in getting me to spend more money?
I have tried to update it through my Samsung Note 4 but it has been 10 hours and not a quarter of the way done.

The USB plug included is for charging only, not syncing.
You really need a cell phone with BT to get the full use from your Versa.

I had to use my smartphone for the update and setup. Nuke the mobile app and reinstall, then setup the Versa as a new device. It should do the update after setting up the wi-fi.
