Difficulties with Fitbit app performance

Ever since i got my new versa lite my fitbit app has been running very slow. It started as it freezing once in a while, when I was actively in the app and now I am constitutionally getting messages of "your fitbit app has stopped working" when I am not even touching my phone. It happens so much it is draining my phones battery. Anyone have any idea how to fix?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using to check the Fitbit app? When was the first time you experienced such difficulties and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to try the following troubleshooting steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the operating system version of your phone is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
