Hello, I just purchased the Versa2. I'm not sure if mine is defective because of how the tap-to-wake behaves.
I've seen reports from others here with similar issues, and others that do not have this problem. Here's how mine manifests:
When I want to wake the watch without flinging my wrist, I tap the screen. Nothing happens. I tap twice, three times, X times. Sometimes on the 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th try, the device will wake. Once it's awake, if I let it idle for 10 seconds or so and tap it again, it wakes 100% of the time on the first try. If I let it idle over a minute, then it goes back to the difficult to wake state.
How does your behave? Do I have a defective one?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @jakyr.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the tapping difficulty you're experiencing with your new Versa 2. I understand your concern and suggest trying a restart on your watch: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
