I just got my Versa watch about 4 weeks ago. The initial set-up went smoothly and I had no trouble with it. However, within the last week, it stopped syncing and I've tried everything listed on the forum pages. I re-installed the Fitbit app to be sure I had the latest version. I deleted any previous Fitbit devices (including the Versa) on my iPhone and Bluetooth settings. I've turned off the watch and turned back on....nothing. Now, I cannot get the Versa to reinstall. I get as far as the entering the 4-digit numbers on my phone and it just keeps circling and saying "Connecting to Fitbit...." but it never does. Help!

I'm having the exact same problem. Had sync issues the past two days, restarted versa, deleted and reinstall the app and now did a factory reset but I'm stuck at the bluetooth syncing now. Just keeps saying it found it but still wont get passed 'connecting' phase?!?!?!

I'm having the same problem with my Versa - so I emailed the app developers at 'fitbit-support (at) fitbit.com' and they just give you the same answer "try working with a phone that's on our 'acceptable' list" which I think is an obscene statement. Don't put an app out that doesn't connect to your newest device.
This is what they wrote:

Let's work together to find the best solution for your Fitbit Versa not syncing.
Upon checking our system, we can see that last time it synced was on September 10th, 2018 with a windows device. Also, we can see that this same day it was unpaired.
Since we know how important is your Versa for you, we would like to know the model of your windows device. Also, we would like to recommend the steps below.
Go to your Bluetooth.
Before you turn on the Bluetooth back on, we recommend following the steps of a restart. How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Once you have done this steps, we would like to provide the steps of how to set up:
Fitbit app how to set up:
Please note that having other Bluetooth device or tracker can affect the syncing process. Also, we recommend trying to sync with a different device that is listed on the Fitbit Support device list.
This should get you back on track, If you need further assistance, feel free to get in touch with us, we are always here to help you.

The only unfortunate thing is that I upgraded from a Charge 2 - which worked perfectly fine, to this - that's useless because I bought it for the Payment feature as well as the message notifications.
