Disabling Pause Button During Exercises

Is there any way I can disable the bottom right button while I'm exercising? I unwillingly press it, especially while biking, but also during weight training. This ends up screwing with the stats.

It really is a pain, especially for a device developed for exercising and training.

Yes please!

This has to happen or I'll probably get rid of my Versa. No point in using it during exercises if it's paused every time I look down.

I have the same issue especially during workout with weights.

Same! I was hoping to find a solution. Anyone had any luck yet?

Easily the biggest painpoint. While weight training, I have to rotate the watch and even that isn't failproof. Nike has a lock option. Hope to see this in the next app update.

I thought I was the only one! This is a major design flaw with an easy fix. I doubt they will fix it though. I have seen posts for a find my phone app from years ago and has never been implemented. This is my first Fitbit let’s see if they are as good as I hope them to be.

This is a common complaint and has been a long time with no attempt to fix it by Fitbit. Sadly, the wife and I have come to the conclusion that the only real fix is to move on to another brand. Pretty sad really, I'm sure it's a simple fix to add an enable/disable feature in settings.

I am also very disapointed that my comment hasn't even received basic acknowlegement from the Fitbit support team, let alone a fix. I will also be moving on to another brand, as soon as Summer exercise season is over.

Seems that they are rolling this feature into the upcoming Versa 2, which doesn't have any buttons on the right side. Checkout their product page:

What that means for us consumers is that we'll have to drop another $200 to upgrade to a new device.

Right, so their answer isn’t a simple software upgrade to disable the button in settings but rather for us to throw in the trash the $200 “latest” model and replace it with the 2nd generation coming soon? No thanks.
