Distance accuracy concern with Versa Lite

Why is the distance calculated on my versa off by over a mile from the fit bit app on my phone? I walk a 4 mile route but the versa says it is only 2.6.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please clarify if the information that's shown on your Versa Lite is different than the one it syncs with your account? In other words, your Versa Lite is showing that you walked 2.6 miles but after you sync, the account shows that you walked 4? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Is this happening with Walk exercise only or with other activities as well? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Versa Lite and troubleshoot the app with the following steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the OS version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
