This may be a silly question and I think I already know the answer, but since I cannot find a definitive answer, here it goes. I like to track my routes on my walks, but I HATE carrying my phone. Do I have to have my phone with me to track my walks with the connected GPS? Or can I start my walk in the app and then have the route sync when I get back home?

Hi @jlmeyer79. The Versa doesn't have GPS built in, it maps via a connection to the GPS on your phone. It will keep track of your steps etc. but won't be able to map it without a connection to the GPS on your phone.
If you want walks mapped, you'll have to have your phone with you.

It's great to welcome you @jlmeyer79 and @SunsetRunner thanks for stopping by.
As our friend mentioned, Fitbit Versa works with the sensors on your nearby phone to track GPS data (known as "connected" GPS). So, yes, you need to have your phone with you if you want to have more detailed information about your exercise. For more information about this, you can check the help article Does my Fitbit device have GPS?.
Let me know if you need anything else.
