So I had received Fitbit Versa (my first Fitbit) as a gift 2 days ago. Yesterday I had synced it, set up a profile, and it was working fine all day. The moment I took it off to charge, it dropped on the floor about 2 feet from my bed, a green light blinked, and now I have the “black screen of death.” I had attempted 2-button and 3-button resets with no luck. I’m planning to exchange it one time to give Fitbit a second chance and assume the one I got was defective. However, I find it extremely disappointing that I’ve known cheaper workout watches that have better durability, which have lasted me a good decade through workouts and swims. I’ve also known smart phones with more durability than the Fitbit I’ve had for 1 day.

May I ask what kind of floor it was dropped on. Hard floor?
Anyways try a restart
Do it at least 3 times.
Restart

I dropped Fitbit zip on a ceramic floor two days ago. It was in the clip but was dropped from about 3 feet. The display comes on and goes out and not keeping proper steps. Is there any fix for this?

It fell to the hardwood floor. I already tried to do factory resets. After a while I just complained to customer service online and they sent me a new one. The internal durability I still suspect to be very poor.
