So the big fire ball in the sky has swooshed across at least once since Dec the 3rd, when update was promised, and many times since beginning of december in general, when update was also promised.
Now, i'm aware of fitbit way and not really expecting much for at least many months ahead, but is there a chance that this update is actually coming any time soon?

Well, that big fireball doesn't come with SpO2 data utilized, or at least available as a raw number.
It seems like it's focused on further separating useful features behind a monthly pay wall.
Garmin already has all the features expected in 4.1, plus SpO2 data. And they are not asking for payments every month, like Fitbit is....

Well, to be fair, the raw SpO2 number is a fairly moot point as currently all SpO2 sensors are touted as 'relative' and therefore raw output is fairly meaningless.
I do have <the other fitness wearable company that is actually good> devices, in fact been wearing SpO2 tracker for few months now on the other hand. I also have certified medical SpO2 clip which i bought specifically to measure sensor accuracy :). The trackers info seems to be legit in terms of changes in oxy levels, but absolute value really don't say much. Relative changes do though, it spots my sleep issues (i have apnea and fairly acute cat allergy) precisely, and they conform very well to how i feel.
That said, fitbit has SpO2 sensors hardware for how log, a year and a month since release of charge 3? I'm all for not releasing raw products, but hey, they actually advertised that sensor and advanced sleep monitoring/sleep issue detection! And charge3 is not even mention as something to be updated, well, ever.
